The ‘Tour de France’ had its grand depart in Yorkshire on Saturday, 5th July with Kate and Wills cutting the ribbon……
Many miles South in Leighton Buzzard, no such luck as the LB Connect Team set off on their charity bike ride for PTSD Resolution. The riders in Yorkshire were blessed with fine sunny weather, not in Bedfordshire as two miles in the heavens opened. The rain continued for the rest of the ride 40 mile ride.
As Marcel Kittel received his yellow jersey, the LB riders at the end of their 40 wet miles arrived satisfied in the completion of this Beds & Bucks epic (no crowds waving and cheering but to an excellent cup of coffee at the Hare Inn). The really good news was that the Ride raised a total of £491.53 for PTSD Resolution.
Well done to all who took part!
